Ubisoft are rolling along nicely, riding a wave of good-will from fans as a result of some surprise announcements in recent years such as Watch_Dogs and Tom Clancys The Division, the publisher is one of the most popular of the big third party players at present. The Assassins Creed series is the biggest new core IP of the last generation, while stalwarts such as Far Cry, Splinter Cell and Rayman have persisted in their extraordinary quality. The only reason gamers aren't the ultimate voyeurs - albeit voyeurs who get their kicks from imaginary beings - is that voyeurism demands subtlety, and it's rare that many of us really trouble to be subtle. In practice, spying on most NPCs is only possible because those NPCs are incredibly dim - whether you're talking about RPG villagers who grumble about lifelong regrets or desires while a visiting hero smashes the crockery in search of healing herbs, or Splinter Cell guards who complain about unpaid overtime while their friends expire noisily in the shadows.

Hitman Absolution was a solid game for sure, but a poor entry in a fantastic series. Can the next Hitman mark a glorious return to form for 47? Lets discuss.
